HOT but having Fun!!

Hello from HOT Romania! Finally yesterday we broke our 10 day streak of being over 100 degrees. By God's grace, I was in the mountains at Tabara Bucuriei (Camp Joy) with these 4 guys (picture) and 4 others. It was still over 100 degrees but it cooled down after 8pm so we could play games and enjoy everything about camp. Thank you for your prayers as 3 kids received Christ as Saviour. I was thrilled to hear that Michael (far left) when asked about camp said, "I really liked it and God was really speaking there." An awesome response from a 10 year old! His was one that received Christ and was VERY sure of it later in the week! :) Continue to pray for these kid's spiritual growth and please pray for Teen Camp, July 30-Aug.4th. I will be taking 12 of my teens and I know a few have not made personal decisions to follow Christ.

Thank you for all of your prayers for my furlough plans. My video was handed into a friend's studio so is in process, church visiting schedule is complete as well as many other preparations. A Big thank you to my support team at my sending church who have made arrangements for a vehicle, video projector, housing and more. I can't wait to come back and share with you how the Lord has been working here in the Rom and in me as well. I also want to mention that your prayers were answered about my apartment situation. Thankfully, I will NOT be moving, but rather signing another lease agreement. A BIG praise!

I would like to end this up-date with a special prayer request for the village of Banaca. Last Sunday, 3 Rom church leaders, their families and I went to hold the first Evangelistic meeting ever in this village. By God's grace, 21 people came to Christ so now we are praying for God to help us plant a church and raise up church leaders. We are very thankful that many of the Rom there in Banaca are educated so we will get John & Romans as well as some full Bibles into these peoples hands immediately. Nationals planting a church: the goal of missions! Keep praying! Kim

Kim, that is awesome! I am so glad to hear how God is working over there. Johanna and I found an apt less than a week after we got back -- God is so good to provide! Now we are working and getting ready for school to start. Praying for you as you prepare for furlough!
