Little by Little

Happy Summer! Here in Romania the weather has been hot and wet with light showers almost every afternoon. The kids are all looking forward to school ending on June 15th and having VBS or going to camp instead. Pray that their hearts will respond to the Gospel of Jesus Christ presented in these unique settings.
As you can see by the picture, the Ciumeghiu children's room is rising little by little. We have exhausted all funds to begin this construction and are praying for the Lord to finish the work begun for His glory. Most of the Ciumeghiu Rom community are working now at least 3 days a week so please also pray for the Rom people to give in faith. After long winter months of struggling to survive, most summer earnings are spent on new electronics, furniture and material goods that won't last. Pray that the Rom will invest in the Lord's work with their whole lives.
The last few weeks have given us a few more reasons to praise our Great God.
1) BMM administrator Tim Gelatt had brain surgery last week and doctors were able to remove 99% of the cancerous tumor with expectations of NO EFFECT to his speech and motor skills. He will still be scheduled for radiation and chemo treatments so continue to pray for the whole Gelatt family.
2) Maranatha Baptist church of Oradea had a wonderful baptism on June 3rd, welcoming 7 people into the church family. It was a thrill to also have one woman receive Christ as her Saviour after the service. May the Lord continue to add to His church.
3) My Ladies retreat was a wonderful break and time to reconnect with my loving Saviour. Thank you for your prayers and continue to pray for me to be teachable as God continues to train and mold me into His image.

Prayer Requests:
1) Two college students will be visiting me for the month of June. Please pray that the Lord will bless their trip and make it a time of real awakening to the need for the laborers in the fields of the world.
2) June 11-13 my coworker will be having VBS in Salonta. Please pray that the Lord will work in hearts and children will come to Jesus Christ.
3) June 14-17 will be Evangelistic meetings in San Nicoleau Romani. The meetings will end with a baptism of 5 Rom people on Sunday, June 17th. One young woman also received Christ this last Sunday. Please pray that the Lord will continue to grow this church and raise up National leadership to be trained for the Lord's service.

Thanks again for your interest in the Lord's work with the Rom people of Romania and your prayers and support for us all as we strive to serve the Lord here. Kim

I love the picture! It's so incredibly different from construction here. I'm glad you got to go on the ladies retreat. "And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ." Praise God that he's not done with me yet!:)
