Wow, did June fly by fast! It has been a hot and busy June for us here in Romania and the Lord has blessed. My
two college visitors, Liz and Johanna, arrived safely and
were a tremendous blessing to us all month as we had many activities. I pray that we were as much of an encouragement to them as they were to us.
VBS in Salonta went very well with an average of 25 children a day. On the last day,
5 children stayed after to talk with Felicia about how they could follow Jesus. That same week,
Sanicoleau Romani had
Evangelistic meetings and a baptism. 5 people were baptized and added to the church membership. Attendance was low for most of the meetings but over 100 came for the baptism and the Lord blessed us with some great sermons from area missionary men. The last week in June, Liz, Johanna and I had
VBS for the children in
Gepiu. My Romanian girlfriend, Anca, was also able to come and help as we worked with 25 or so children per day. The highlight of the week (and the month for me!) was when
Pamela (see picture)
told me she wanted to accept Christ as her Saviour and follow Him. She had dreamed the night before about a road to heaven and a road to hell and woke up crying because she knew she was a sinner heading down the road to hell. She came to class and prayed a very sincere prayer for Jesus to accept her and help her follow him her whole life. Praise His Name! Pamela will be going to camp with me in 2 weeks and I
pray it will be a chance for her
to grow in her personal relationship with her Saviour Jesus Christ.
Thank you for your prayers! Please continue to pray for:
1) Junior Camp, July 16-21 - 4 kids from Ciumeghiu and 4 kids from Gepiu will be going,
2) Furlough preparations - I am currently working on a video and working with people in the States to find a car and video projecter to borrow and places to stay.
3) Ciumeghiu construction - Praise the Lord for a
$1000 change offering from the VBS kids at Country Bible church in Wallace, MI. This will help us get the walls up, but of course a roof, windows and doors will also be needed by this fall.
4) Teen Camp, August 11-18 - I hope to be taking
12-15 teens from Gepiu. Thank you again for all your prayers and support. I cannot wait to see you all and share in person how God is working in all our hearts here. Love in Christ, Kim
