An Amazing Saturday!

Coming back to the field is always a big transition, but a great joy. It was so good to see "family" and friends, hear how the Lord has been working and then jump back in to working with the ladies and children in Ciumeghiu. Claudia, the pastor's wife in Ciumeghiu, has been helping me in children's class. We have been working together a few times a week to work on her reading and writing so soon she can be the children's teacher. Last Saturday, Claudia taught the children a memory verse for the FIRST time. It went GREAT! It was such a thrill to see the Lord strengthen her and see how well the children responded to her leadership. We had 60 children last week making it a record number for the winter season! Continue to pray for Claudia that she will remember that God does NOT give us the spirit of fear, but of power and sound mind (2Tim 1:7). We are currently working on a creation lesson that she will teach the children after New Year's. May the Lord be praised as He uses us to bring Him glory.
p.s. The classroom construction is progressing. The men are painting the inside this week and one of the woman got so excited that she bought 8 meters of fabric for the new curtains! We look forward to seeing how the Lord will use this new facility. Have a Happy Holidays!
