Making progress

I'm sorry that it has been so long since I have posted an update. Thank you for all the special gifts for my equipment and Ciumeghiu church construction. I am now working on a brand new desktop computer that I hope will last me for years to come. As you can see we have also made progress on the Ciumeghiu classroom building. A sturdy metal/concrete fence has been put up over the last month (as the mayor requested) so now we can concentrate on finishing the inside. Funds are still needed to finish this building as material costs continue to rise. The price of a sack of cement went from $10 to $15 in just 6 months! All costs are rising, but we are trusting the Lord that He will finish the work He has allowed us to begin here in Ciumeghiu. Pray with us that we can finish this building before winter.
Also pray for the following summer activities: VBS in Telechiu - July 16-18, Evangelistic meetings in Ciumeghiu - July 19,20, VBS in Ciumeghiu - July 22-24, Rom camp - August 8-14. Last week we had VBS in Tinca and had around 75-80 children each day. They were very wild, but I pray they walked away knowing the Bible is a special book from God which tells us about our Awesome God. The Lord has lead me to prepare basic lessons about the Bible and six Attributes of God to help "fill in" these somewhat churched kids' Bible knowledge. The Tinca church is now 13 years old and I was shocked to see that many of the children did NOT know that the Bible is more special than their school books! It gave me a glimpse at the true need here for children's ministry. Thank you for your prayers as I help churches like Tinca have a special few days of classes for kids when they really need weekly Sunday School. Pray with me that the Lord will raise up Rom leaders to teach the children in His churches. Kim

i found your blog through a google search for "tabara bucuriei".. i went there 5 years ago, and visited with the churches in Stei and Beius, and I still keep in touch with a lot of the families there. I miss it so much and am hoping to go back next spring or summer!
