Summer ministries

Summer is always a busy time of ministry here in Romania. Marcel and I have found this summer to be no exception. We are thoroughly enjoying the new ministry the Lord has brought us into with orphan boys from a city orphanage. Each Sunday we have 3-6 boys attend church with us and then come to our home for the rest of the day. We try to love them up and fill them up with both physical and spiritual food. Marcel has weekly Bible lessons that always take interesting turns as he answers the many questions of these boys. Pray that the Lord will bring these boys to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and enable us to continue this crucial ministry.

Summer would not be summer with out Vacation Bible School. We already had a few days of VBS in Osorhei last week, but have a few more weeks to go. July 21-23: Martihaz, July 28-30: Cheriu, Late Aug/Early Sept: Ciumeghiu. Pray that the Lord will open hearts to His calling.

Marcel and I are also feverishly working on translating the book "Models for Disciple Makers" by Colin S. McDougall for use in a 3 day men's seminary class - August 3-5. Pastor Rick Reynolds is flying in to attend a Rom (Gypsy) wedding on August 1st and then will teach this class in Tinca for the area church men. Pray with us that the Lord will bless this time to be a great time of fellowship and spiritual growth.
