Cast down, but not destroyed
This weekend has been full of tough times, but the Lord has given us strength and joy despite the hiccups in our plans. Friday night, Pamela, a Rom teen from Tinca had emergency surgery to remove her appendix and then they also removed the tumor they found on her ovary. It was a stressful time for all, but she is doing well and is in good spirits. It was her mother that just had the baby so was unable to be by Pamela's side. We praise God for Christian brothers and sisters who have upheld this family in prayer and encouraged all by their visits. Pray for Pamela's recovery that it will be quick and complete. The doctors did not have to take her ovary and thus do not think this will affect her future feminine health.
Today, backing out onto a busy road, I had a minor accident and backed into a parked car. My insurance will cover the damage and both the owners and policeman were very sympathetic and helpful through the whole process. I did receive a $30 ticket but there was little damage done to their car and NONE to mine. Praise the Lord that I was able to handle the situation alone in Romanian. Praise the Lord for kind neighbors that came as soon as possible to comfort me and loving friends that called back to check that I was OK.
After returning to the house after the accident, I found my Visa letter on the fax machine. Praise the Lord that I received it and was given a 1 year extension. I was hoping for 5 years, but praise God for one more year to serve Him here in Romania. Thank you all for your prayers! It is evident that the Lord is protecting us and taking care of us!
Love, Kim II Cor.4:8-10
