Update/Prayer Requests - 12/18/2006
Thank you all for your prayers for the Evangelistic meetings in Salonta. Attendance was good, but no decisions were made for Christ. Please continue to pray that the Lord will work through His word to move the hearts of the people present. Thank you all for your prayers for the Oradea Romanian Church Anniversary today. About 150 people were there just about doubling normal attendance. It was a wonderful service and many first time visitors came. Pray that the Lord will work in their hearts to receive Jesus as their Savior as well.
New Requests:
1) Romanian Teen Retreat - I will be helping my coworkers with a Teen Retreat to the mountains. We will have around 30 people in total and will be studying "Our Personal Value before God." Please pray that I will be useful to all; a willing instrument of God's hand in anyway needed. We leave Tuesday, December 19 and return Friday, December 22
2) Sorin and family - Please pray for Sorin as his face was burned in a work accident Friday. Praise the Lord he was wearing a hat and mittens so only has surface skin damage (it didn't even burn his eyebrows or eyelashes.) He and his family profess to be Christians, but definitely do not live as children of God. Sorin's wife is Pastor Nastase's sister (Ciumeghiu) so we are all praying to see the whole family truly live for God doing His will.
3) Christmas Celebrations - Please pray that our services will be God glorifying and lead others to celebrate this Holiday for the true reason of Christmas: Jesus Christ. Most churches will be having services for 3 days (24th, 25th & 26th) and will have visitors that don't normally attend. May the Lord be praised in everything.
Matthew 1:21 "And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins."
